Rework of Mini-LED Arrays

Abstract: Finetech's hot air rework systems for R&D and production environments are suitable for the entire rework cycle of a single or group of miniature LEDs, e.g. in the form of LED triplets (RGB) on modern display systems. All necessary working steps are supported, such as desoldering a defective LED from the panel, removing residual solder, applying fresh solder paste, as well as placing and soldering a new LED onto the panel. The challenge is, beside visibility and placement accuracy, to de-solder smallest components from a mini-LED assembly without damaging nearby LEDs. This requires a targeted heat input through fast and precise control of all process parameters as well as safe component handling.
